Classroom Procedures
Participation Points Part of your grade will be based on participation points. Points will be lost for sleeping in class, being disruptive, excessive talking, and refusing to work on class activities. This grade will be out of a possible 50 points at the end of the semester
Health Note Packets You are required to bring your NOTE PACKETS to class every class. We will be taking notes and doing small in-class assignments in the packets during each unit. The packets will be collected at the end of each unit and graded as a homework assignment. Bring your note packets to class everyday!
Attendance Policy
You are responsible for coming to me to see what you missed in class the very next day. Do not wait until the next class period because that would put you behind. Come see me the next day you are in school and I will give you a pass to your next class.
Late Work Policy I do accept late work. I understand that sometimes things come up and you cannot always get assignments done on time. You will receive 50% credit for one class late, and after 1 class, I do not accept late work.
Remember my door is always open to talk about anything. If you feel uncomfortable in any of the discussion, I understand if you want to sit out of class for a while. We do cover sensitive issues and I understand feelings get aroused that you won’t expect. Please do not hesitate to talk to me about anything!
